A report has revealed that explosive middle order batsman Dewald Brevis is suffering from side strain and due to this he will not be able to play the first match of the season. Chennai In its first match, it has to face Rajasthan Royals on Sunday 30th March and the team will have to go without Dhoni as well as Brevis in this match.

But the tension is not only about this match, it is believed that he will not be able to play the next match also.

Brevis' injury has increased CSK's problems because he was one of the most successful batsmen of the team last season. He was signed as a replacement player in the middle of the season and in just 6 matches, he scored 225 runs hitting 17 sixes and 13 fours. His strike rate was 180, on the basis of which CSK was able to perform well in some matches. Now the team will have to take the field without him, while Dhoni will also not be a part of the starting 11.

CSK continuously troubled by injury
