Lucknow: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the application for the post of Head Coach of Team India. Many important information has been given in it. Let us tell you that a few days ago such news had come out in which it was said that BCCI may soon seek applications for the head coach and Board Secretary Jai Shah had also confirmed that BCCI is looking for a long-term coach. Actually, any player who wants to apply for coaching for India should be below 60 years of age. So the last date for application is 27th May, whoever is interested will have to apply before this date. The Indian Cricket Board has set some conditions for this. Actually, there will be only one coach for all three formats and unlike other teams, BCCI has not gone for different coaches for different formats. Let us tell you that this time the coaching tenure of India will be of 3.5 years, which will come into effect from 1 July 2024 and will end on 31 December 2027.
Those applying for the post of Head Coach of India must have played at least 30 Test matches or have represented their team in 50 ODI matches. If not this, then he should have at least 2 years of experience in coaching a team playing test matches. He should be below 60 years of age.
Let us tell you that at present Rahul Dravid is playing the role of the head coach of India. His tenure ended after the ICC World Cup 2023, but after this, Dravid's tenure was extended keeping in mind the T20 World Cup 2024. Rahul's time is going to end next month i.e. in June and before that BCCI is looking for a new coach. According to all the media reports coming out, Rahul Dravid will not apply again for coaching and now Team India is going to get a new coach very soon.
