IPL 2026 kicks off on March 28 and while all eyes will be on the players, there is another group of names that cricket fans look forward to every season just as much, the commentary panel.
This year the English broadcast on Star Sports and Jiohotstar has an absolutely stacked lineup with some of the biggest names in the game coming together to cover what promises to be a blockbuster tournament.
From living legends to sharp analytical minds and some of the most entertaining voices in broadcasting, the commentary box is going to be just as exciting as what happens out in the middle.
Here is the complete list of every English commentator confirmed for IPL 2026.
Harsha Bhogle needs absolutely no introduction, the voice of Indian cricket and one of the finest sports commentators anywhere in the world, his presence alone makes any broadcast feel special.
Besides him are two giants of Indian cricket in Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri, whose voices have become as much a part of the IPL experience as the cricket itself over the years.
Ian Bishop brings the Caribbean authority that makes him one of the most respected voices in world cricket broadcasting, while Graeme Swann delivers humor and genuine insight in equal measure.
Simon Doull, Daniel Morrison, Nick Knight, Daren Ganga and Mpumelelo Mbangwa complete a group of broadcasters who between them have covered almost every major cricket tournament on the planet.
This is where IPL 2026 really raises the bar. AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn alone would make this commentary panel worth tuning in for, one a genius batter and the other arguably the finest fast bowler of his generation, both now bringing their extraordinary cricket brains to the microphone.
Faf du Plessis, a two-time IPL champion with Chennai Super Kings, adds the perspective of someone who has won at the highest level of franchise cricket. Eoin Morgan, the IPL champion with KKR in 2016, brings white-ball tactical intelligence that made him one of the most respected captains of his era.
Kevin Pietersen is never short of a strong opinion and always makes for compelling viewing, Aaron Finch contributes deep T20 knowledge from his time leading Australia in white-ball cricket, and Michael Clarke rounds out a genuinely star-studded group. Mitchell McClenaghan, a four-time IPL champion with Mumbai Indians, and Simon Katich, who has experienced franchise cricket as both player and coach, add layers of insight that go well beyond simply having played the game.
The analytical side of the panel is equally impressive. Murali Kartik, WV Raman, Abhinav Mukund and Deep Dasgupta give the coverage real tactical depth, while Anjum Chopra continues to be a prominent and important presence in cricket broadcasting.
Alan Wilkins brings his decades of experience to the setup, Katey Martin adds a fresh perspective as a former New Zealand cricketer, and Raunak Kapoor rounds things off with the kind of infectious energy that makes him one of the most watchable presenter-commentators in the business right now.
