'The feet of a child are visible in the cradle'... This is a very old and famous Hindi saying, which is being used less these days. But the world of cricket has now found a star who has proved both of them absolutely right. This star is Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who created buzz at the age of just 13, made a name for himself across the world at the age of 14 and now at the age of 15, has become the biggest star of his team, be it India A, India Under-19 or Rajasthan Royals.
young left handed batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi He turned 15 on March 27. In the last one year, this batsman has established his bat in every country where he has got a chance to play. Be it hitting a six on the very first ball in the IPL or scoring a century in 35 balls or making the highest score (175 runs) in the final of the Under-19 World Cup, Vaibhav has done all this in the last one year at the age of just 14.
This may be a surprise for cricket experts and fans around the world, but it is not shocking for Vaibhav himself and especially for the person who identified this young talent, that too at the age of just 13. This person is Rajasthan Royals' Director of Cricket Zubin Bharucha, who himself was stunned to see Vaibhav playing for the first time. It has been told in a report of Cricket Monthly that Vaibhav Suryavanshi had also reached the trials of Rajasthan Royals in 2024 and here on the very first day this batsman had blown away Bharucha.

The report quoted Bharucha as saying that Vaibhav had surprised him by hitting a six over the covers on an outswing ball. Then after the trials were over, he returned the rest of the players but asked Vaibhav to stay. Then he called a throwdown specialist, who was 6 feet 4 inches tall and could bowl at high speed. He warned Vaibhav that the ball would come very fast but this 13 year old batsman was not bothered.
What happened next can usually only be imagined but Vaibhav did it in reality. Bharucha told that Vaibhav released the first 3-4 balls without any problem but on one ball he hit a six across the straight boundary, seeing which Bharucha could not believe his eyes. When he saw the speed of the ball on the speedgun, it was 157 kilometers per hour (KMPH).
Right then and there he had decided that he would die only after buying Vaibhav in the auction. He asked the Royals management to keep aside Rs 10 crore for him. This surprised everyone as to why so much money should be given to a 13 year old child. But then when Bharucha told about it, everyone understood the story. However, the Royals did not need to spend so much money in the mega auction and they bought Vaibhav Suryavanshi for just Rs 1.10 crore. The story of what happened after this has been seen with our own eyes all over the world.
