After the biggest deal in IPL history, former owner Vijay Mallya has given an emotional reaction regarding Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He said that RCB will always be “part of his DNA” and he has many memories associated with this team.

Congratulating the new owners on social media platform X, Mallya wrote that he had bought this franchise for Rs 450 crore in 2008, when people used to make fun of his decision. But today the same team is worth around Rs 16,500 crore, which is very exciting for them.

He said that RCB was not just a team but a vision to strengthen the “Royal Challenge” brand, hence the name.

During this, Mallya also mentioned Virat Kohli. He said that the inclusion of young Kohli in the team was one of the biggest moves of RCB and today he is counted among the best players in the world.

Let us tell you that Bengaluru franchise is one of the most popular teams of the Indian Premier League. Recently it has been sold to a big consortium for about Rs 16,660 crore.

This consortium includes Aditya Birla Group, The Times Group, Bolt Ventures and Blackstone. This deal has been done by United Spirits Limited (USL), in which 100% of RCB has been sold.

The deal is an all-cash deal, although it is still pending approval from the Board of Control for Cricket in India and the Competition Commission of India.

With this deal, a new chapter has started for RCB. Now this consortium will run the IPL as well as the WPL team.

At the end of his message, Mallya thanked the RCB fans and appealed to them to support the team further.
