Delhi: Before the start of IPL 2026, two teams from two leagues have got new owners. After Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore team has also been sold. The RCB deal has been done for approximately two billion dollars. This amount in Indian rupees is approximately Rs 18,776 crore.

Let us tell you that RCB team has been bought by 4 groups together from United Spirits Limited. These include Aditya Birla Group, The Times of India Group, Bolt Ventures and Blackstone. Now these groups have the ownership rights of RCB men’s and RCB women’s team participating in WPL.
Rs 540 crore has been paid by these groups to buy the women’s team. According to the report of Live Hindustan, BCCI will get 5% of this entire deal. According to this, a huge amount will come to BCCI’s share.
After this deal, news is coming out that Aryaman Birla has been made the new chairman of RCB team. At the same time, Satyan Gajwani of Times of India Group will be seen in the role of his deputy head.
Very few people would know that Aryaman Birla has been a part of IPL as a player. In the 2018 IPL auction, Rajasthan Royals bought Aryaman for Rs 30 lakh.
In the first match of IPL 2026, RCB will face SRH, whose command will be in the hands of Ishan Kishan. This match will be played on 28 March at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
