KL Rahul has not travelled with Lucknow Super Giants’ squad for the upcoming match against Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2024. There are speculations that LSG captain will join the team for the important clash.
There are reports of rift between KL and the franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka after the latter scolded the batter after Sunrisers Hyderabad hammered Lucknow by 10 wickets.
LSG are on 12 points from 12 games and need to win the remaining two matches to stand a chance to qualify for the playoffs. Rahul will be crucial to the franchise’s chances. Rahul’s strike rate has been questioned by former players. He was also left out of Team India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
The wicketkeeper-batter has accumulated 460 runs at an average of 38.33 and a scoring rate of 136.09. Rahul notched up three fifties this season.
Lucknow have made it to the playoffs in the previous two seasons of the tournament. However, they are still looking for their maiden IPL title.
