Jon Lewis, who is the head coach of UP Warriorz admitted that it was frustrating to watch Chamari Athapaththu’s dismissal in the match against RCB on Monday.

The Alyssa Healy-led side lost the match by 23 runs but what got everyone talking was Chamari’s dismissal. During the post-match press conference, Lewis revealed that the ball moved like a leg-spinner.

Lewis described the dismissal as interesting and a turning point in the match.

“You watch the ball with the naked eye, and you think it might pitch in line, just maybe. Then you look at the ball rotating, and well, it’s rotating like a legspinner.

There are not many legspinners that go towards that [other] side. It was a fascinating dismissal and a massive turning point for us in that game”, Lewis told reporters in the post-match press conference.

He also revealed that it was frustrating to watch Athapaththu get dismissed in that way as the left-right combination of her and Alyssa Healy became problematic for RCB. He also said that they are still not satisfied with the dismissal.

“Chamari is an amazing player and you saw how difficult it was when a left-hander and a right.
