The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been a stage where young talents come in and make their presence felt. Since the start of the league, many teenagers have been given chances and some of them go on to become big stars. IPL 2026 is no different where various young names will take the charge.
1. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (15 years 1 day)
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will be one of the biggest talking points this season. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, he made his IPL debut in 2025 as a 14 year old and made headlines straight away. He scored 252 runs in just 7 matches including a stunning century against Gujarat Titans which really caught attention.
That knock showed his class and confidence at such a young stage. He has also been performing in junior cricket and even scored a match winning century in the Under 19 World Cup final. Now at 15 years, he enters another season with a lot of expectations around him.
2. Ayush Mhatre (18 years 255 days)
Ayush Mhatre is another young batsman who has shown a lot of promise. He played for Chennai Super Kings last season and looked quite composed at the top of the order.
He managed 240 runs in 7 matches and also came close to a century with a 94 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. That innings stood out and showed his ability to handle pressure. CSK will be banking on him to keep improving and deliver more consistent performances.
3. Sahil Parikh (18 years 293 days)
Sahil Parikh from Nashik in Maharashtra is another top order batter coming through the ranks. He has represented Maharashtra and has shown steady numbers in domestic cricket.
Delhi Capitals have backed him as a promising talent and will be looking to give him chances this season. He looks like someone who can grow with time and gain confidence at this level.
4. Satvik Deswal (19 years 5 days)
Satvik Deswal is a slow left arm bowler who will play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He was picked up for 30 lakh in the auction and brings control to the bowling unit. He can fly the ball well and keeps a tight line and length. His role will be important in the middle overs where he can slow things down and create pressure.
5. Vihaan Malhotra (19 years 86 days)
Vihaan Malhotra is a talented all rounder from Patiala and another youngster to watch this season. He will be part of the Rajasthan Royals squad. He was also bought for 30 lakh and offers value with both bat and ball.
He can contribute useful runs and also bowl right arm off spin when needed. If he gets chances, he can turn into an important player for his side.
