After the visit, Goenka said that offering prayers to Lord Ram is always meaningful and that divine blessings will help im sett the right tone for the tournament.
“Dr. Sanjiv Goenka visits Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya along with captain Rishabh Pant and other members of the squad to receive blessings. JAI SHREE RAM,” LSG’s official handle posted on X.
The temple visit was part of the franchise’s pre-season activities, with Goenka, Pant, and other team officials taking part in the rituals, signaling a spiritual start to their IPL preparations.
Earlier, Pant had highlighted the team’s readiness for the new season and welcomed Bharat Arun as the franchise’s new bowling coach, praising the expertise and guidance he brings to the squad.
Speaking on JioHotstar, Pant said, “The sessions with the fast bowlers have been excellent. Bharat Arun has brought immense value to the team. We’ve discussed extensively what we expect from the bowlers and what he can contribute. The energy in camp is fantastic. He’s one of the top bowling coaches, and I trust him completely, having worked with him during his time with the Indian cricket team.”
Pant pointed out that Arun’s knowledge and strong relationship with the bowling unit help boost confidence and overall performance.
“He brings a wealth of experience. The bowlers have confidence in him and are comfortable sharing with him, which is exactly what you want from a bowling coach to strengthen the system. Looking back at last season, we knew our bowling needed an extra edge, and he’s someone who can provide that. I’m really glad to have him on board.”
