Dinesh Karthik, who has been among the top performers for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League 2024, scripted an unwanted record. He was dismissed without troubling the scorers against Delhi Capitals in Bengaluru.
He has gone past Rohit Sharma and Glenn Maxwell on the list of most ducks in the history of the cash-rich league. The veteran wicker-keeper batter has registered 18 ducks, one more than Sharma and Maxwell.

Maxwell has been the worst performer in the ongoing season of the tournament. In eight matches, the all-rounder has amassed 36 runs for RCB. The management has dropped him from the playing XI.
On the other hand, Rohit has failed to end his slump with the bat. Apart from a hundred against Chennai Super Kings, the veteran has been below-par. He is being used as the Impact Sub in the previous two games. The right-handed batter has accumulated 349 runs in 13 matches.
Meanwhile, Karthik’s failure didn’t impact RCB as the hosts defeated the Capitals by 47 runs to register their fifth consecutive win of the season. The Bengaluru-based franchise put up 187/9 in 20 overs. Delhi were bowled out for 140 runs.
RCB are still in contention for the playoff race.
