KL Rahul will next be seen in action for the Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2026. He joined the franchise for INR 14 crore in the mega auction. In the previous season, he scored 539 runs in 13 matches. The right-handed batter was used in the middle order in the majority of the season.

He opened in a few games but didn’t take the strike. His role could change in the 19th edition of the league. According to The Times of India, Rahul is set to open the innings and also don the wicket-keeping gloves. He keeps the wickets for the Indian National Cricket Team in ODIs.

Rahul is aiming to return to India’s T20I team, and he could get an opportunity if he performs well in the new season.

His previous T20I for the Men in Blue was in the 2022 World Cup in Australia. Rahul was the captain of the team, but the sub-continent team lost to England in the semi-final.

While Rohit and Virat were recalled to the T20I side for the 2024 World Cup, Rahul was ignored by the selectors. He plays the fifty-over format and Test cricket.

DC will play their first match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 1. They will compete against the Mumbai Indians on April 4. DC will host one-time champions Gujarat Titans on April 8 before travelling to Chennai for a clash against the five-time champions Chennai Super Kings on April 11.

Axar Patel is the captain of the franchise. They dominated the league in the first-half of the season but failed to make it to the playoffs. Kevin Pietersen, who was the mentor of the franchise, resigned from his post.
