According to Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene, Rohit Sharma will not play as an impact player but will be seen on the field in more and more matches this time. Jayawardene told that in the last IPL season, there were some problems related to Rohit's fitness, due to which we had to manage his workload. However, regardless of whether he was on the field or not, he was making a big impact on the team.

But, in this season i.e. IPL 2026, he will be seen on the field more and more. The match situation and balance will be equally taken care of in the team combination.
