Captain Shubman Gill joins Gujarat Titans camp, first match against Punjab Kings to be held on March 31…Preparations for the upcoming season of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 have intensified. In this series, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has joined the team camp. According to the press release issued by the franchise, the team has started its preparations for IPL 2026.

Gujarat Titans will start their campaign on March 31 with a match against Punjab Kings in Mulanpur. After this, the team will take the field against Rajasthan Royals on April 4 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Apart from this, the team has to play against Delhi Capitals on 8th April and against Lucknow Super Giants on 12th April. These initial phase matches are considered very important for the team.

Let us tell you, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the schedule of the first phase of IPL 2026. The 19th season of the tournament will be played from 28 March to 12 April 2026.

The first match of this season will be played between defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Let us tell you, the matches of the first phase of IPL 2026 will be played in 10 cities of the country. These include Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.

Gujarat Titans has been one of the most consistently performing teams in the IPL. The team made the playoffs three times in its first four seasons and created history by winning the title in its debut season in 2022.

In the last i.e. IPL 2025 season, the team recorded 9 wins, 4 losses, while one match had no result. Now under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, Gujarat Titans will enter the field with the intention of winning the second title in IPL 2026.
