Pratapgarh. A soul-shattering incident has come to light from Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. There was chaos in the entire area after the blood soaked bodies of a mother and her 12 year old innocent son were found inside a house in Para Hamidpur village of Antu police station area on Monday morning. Unidentified assailants killed both of them by attacking them with sharp weapons and fled from the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, there was panic in the police department and a heavy police force immediately reached the spot.

When I peeped through the window, I lost my senses: shuttering mechanic informed

This heart-wrenching incident came to light on Monday morning when a shuttering mechanic from the village was passing near the house of Shivpatti Maurya (40) for work. The door of the house was closed, but when she looked inside the room through the open part of the window, she screamed after seeing the sight there. Bloodied bodies of Shivpatti and her 12-year-old son Ayaan were lying on the floor of the room. When the mechanic raised an alarm, a huge crowd of villagers gathered, after which the Antu police station was immediately informed.

Husband lives outside, mother and son become victims in deserted house

Preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that deceased Shivpatti’s husband Dinesh works outside the house to earn his living. Mother and son lived alone in the house. It is feared that miscreants entered the house late on Sunday night and attacked the sleeping mother and son with a sharp weapon, due to which they died on the spot. Looking at the condition of the room, it is being estimated that the killers have brutally committed this double murder.

Village transformed into police cantonment, many teams engaged in investigation

As soon as information about the double murder was received, Antu police station in-charge Abhishek Sirohi reached the spot with his team and inspected the spot. Police have also called forensic team and dog squad to the spot so that evidence can be collected. The Superintendent of Police said that the bodies have been taken into custody and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. At present, the reasons for the murder are not clearly known, but the police is investigating in depth all aspects including rivalry and robbery. In view of the tension in the village, police force has been deployed.
