India duo of Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh have been reunited after the latter was picked up by the Manchester Super Giants at the very first The Hundred Women’s auction on Wednesday, 11 March.

The franchise earlier named the Manchester Originals signed Ghosh at her base price of GBP 50,000 after facing no challenge from any of their competitors. The side now possesses two India superstars after securing the services of Mandhana ahead of the auction as a ‘direct signing’.

Manchester Super Giants have bolstered their squad with some superstar names ahead of the 2026 The Hundred.

These include the likes of Meg Lanning, Sophie Ecclestone, Paige Scholfield and Kathryn Bryce to name a few.

Both Mandhana and Ghoshplayed a crucial role in guiding Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB) to their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title in Vadodara earlier this year. Mandhana finished the season with the Orange Cap having scored 377 runs, including 87 from 41 balls in the final to seal the trophy. Ghosh, on the other hand, scored 189 runs at a strike-rate of 151.20.

Deepti Sharma signs for Sunrisers Leeds

Spin-bowling all-rounder Deepti Sharma was yet another Indian star to be picked up in The Hundred auction as she joined the newly-rebranded Sunrisers Leeds for GBP 27,500.

Deepti, who was named the Player of the Tournament during India’s title-winning 2025 World Cup campaign, will join the likes of Phoebe Litchfield, Kate Cross and Annabel Sutherland.

Meanwhile, Jemimah Rodrigues will also feature in the upcoming The Hundred season. The right-handed batter was picked by the Southern Brave as their direct signing and will play alongside Lauren Bell, Sarah Glenn and Maia Bouchier to name a few.

There were, however, a few Indians who failed to attract a bid during The Hundred auction. These included N Shree Charani and Yastika Bhatia. Shree Charani had a base price of GBP 27,500 while Bhatia was GBP 15,000.
