Unnao. A farmer who was guarding his crops was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon late in the night. There was a sensation in the area when his bloody body was found on a cot in the field on Wednesday morning. Based on the son’s complaint, the police have registered a report against four people on suspicion of murder and sent the body for post-mortem.
Kanhaiyalal (55), a resident of Majra Bhikharipur of Khushrupur Gram Panchayat, had left home at around 6 pm on Tuesday evening to guard the fields as usual. When son Rakesh did not return home on Wednesday morning, he reached the farm and found his father’s blood-soaked body lying on a cot near the hut.
Rakesh told that he had gone to the fields to give food to his father at around eight o’clock on Tuesday night and returned home at one o’clock in the night. On reaching the farm in the morning, the father was found dead. At the spot, a tiffin was found hanging in a bag at one foot of the cot, while the shoes were lying on the other side of the cot. A water bottle was also lying nearby and traces of blood were found in the para inside the hut.

Fear of murder in land dispute
The son of the deceased has expressed suspicion of murder against Nangu of the village, his son Sohan and Haripal and Gyani, residents of Dainipurwa. According to Rakesh, about six years ago his father had purchased one biswa of land from Nangu. Six months ago, when an attempt was made to capture him, the accused protested and threatened to kill him.
There are also other types of discussions among the villagers regarding the incident. Some people say that about 15 years ago the deceased had taken a woman from the neighborhood with him, due to which old enmity is also suspected.
On information, Additional Superintendent of Police Premchandra, Area Officer Sonam Singh, forensic team and dog squad reached the spot and investigated.
The deceased is survived by his wife Rajrani, four sons Rakesh, Sarvesh, Puran and Parmeshwar and three daughters Kiran, Nidhi and Sarojini. After the incident, the family members are in bad condition and crying.
Police Station Head Gyanendra Kumar said that on the basis of son Rakesh’s complaint, a report has been registered against four people on suspicion of murder. Four teams including SOG have been deployed to uncover the matter.
