In Pant's absence, the biggest question was who would captain Delhi? However, now head coach Ricky Ponting has put the brakes on this question. In fact, during a conversation with news agency PTI, Ponting said that “Axar Patel will captain the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday.” Let us tell you that the star all-rounder has performed well for the team this year with both ball and bat and now he will be seen captaining against Bengaluru. So Pant will now make a comeback in the last match.

Akshar has played a total of 12 matches so far this season, in which he has scored 164 runs with an average of 23.43 and strike rate of 126.15. During this period, one half-century has come from his bat. So this player has shown excellent performance in bowling also. The 30-year-old has taken a total of 10 wickets in his name so far and during this period he has spent runs with an excellent economy of 7.33.

Rishabh Pant fined for slow over rate

If we talk about Rishabh, this ban has been imposed on him because of his slow over rate. In fact, when a team bowls with a slow over rate for the first time, a fine of Rs 12 lakh is imposed on the captain. Apart from this, if this mistake is made for the second time then a fine of Rs 24 lakh is imposed on them. So on committing this mistake for the third time, a ban of one match is imposed. This was the third mistake by the DC captain this season and due to this he will have to sit out of a match.

Pant's first mistake was during the match played against Chennai Super Kings on 31 March. So for the second time also against Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi team could not complete its overs in the stipulated time. This match was played on 3 April in Visakhapatnam. Apart from this, in the match played against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on May 7, Pant committed the third mistake and now he has been banned for one match.
