News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses Season 2: The National Trial Camp for the second season of TV9 Network's grassroots football talent hunt program 'News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses' ran for three days at the Khanikar Stadium in Dibrugarh, Assam. The third and last day of this camp proved to be decisive, where the real test for the young footballers took place.
The first two days focused on technical practice, tactical understanding and fitness tests, while matches were played on the last day.The objective of this program is to discover young football talents from across the country, hone them and give them opportunities at the international level. More than 38,000 players took part in the initial stage across the country. Of these, about 300 young players (boys and girls) were called to Dibrugarh for the final national trials in the U-14 and U-17 age groups.
Full-scale matches were played on the third day, in which players' game intelligence, teamwork, decision-making ability under pressure and performance in high-stakes situations were assessed. The coaches and selectors carefully examined every player who came on the field. Parents, coaches and guardians were present in large numbers during the matches and encouraged the children.
News9 The Indian Tigers and Tigresses program is one of the largest football talent hunts in the world, giving children the platform to realize their dreams.
After this three-day camp, a total of 25 talented players will be selected. These 25 young players will go to Germany, where they will get advanced football training and will get a golden opportunity to gain international experience. This selection is a big step towards strengthening Indian football at the grassroots level.
