Star Kiwi player announced his retirement

New Zealand's experienced fast bowler Lee Tahuhu has announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) cricket. She has taken this decision after a 15-year long career, in which she made important contributions to the New Zealand women's team. However, she will continue to play in the T20 International format. Lee Tahuhu made his ODI debut in 2011 at the age of just 20. She played 103 matches in this format and took 125 wickets, which is the highest for the Kiwi team.

She is also included among the 12 players who have played more than 100 matches in ODI for the New Zealand women's team.

Announcing his retirement, Lee Tahuhu said, 'It has always been a privilege and an honor for me to wear the White Ferns jersey in ODI cricket. Just playing a match was an amazing feeling. To wear the jersey to represent my country and my family more than 100 times in ODI cricket is something I had never even dreamed of. I will cherish every moment and will depart from ODI cricket with great pride in the achievements I have achieved in this format.

Returned to the field after defeating cancer

Tahuhu returned to the team after defeating cancer in the year 2021. Actually, there was a small mole on Tahuhu's leg. Gradually it grew and its color kept changing. The doctor did the work of removing that mole. Before his second surgery, he found out that he actually had skin cancer. He took the decision at the right time due to which the cancer did not reach the risky stage. Then he had to stay in bed for eight weeks.
