Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and batter Ayush Mhatre joined MD and CEO, Shenu Agarwal, and Chairman, Dheeraj Hinduja, at the unveiling of the team’s new jersey, marking Ashok Leyland as the official sponsor of Chennai Super Kings.
Chennai Super Kings began its pre-season camp last week ahead of the 19th edition of the Indian Premier League.
The five-time champion is training at its High Performance Centre in Navalur under assistant coach Rajiv Kumar and assistant bowling coach S. Sriram. Gaikwad and former skipper M.S. Dhoni arrived in Chennai on Saturday, with Ayush Mhatre, Urvil Patel, Mukesh Choudhary and Prashant Veer among the Indian players already in camp. Overseas recruits will join later this month, while head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Eric Simons are expected by March 16.
Since its fifth title in 2023 under Dhoni, CSK has endured two disappointing seasons, narrowly missing the playoffs in 2024 and finishing bottom last year.
IPL 2026 is set to start on March 28.
