Sanju Samson was adjudged Player of the Match in the semi-final match against England, but he gave the credit of Team India reaching the final to the excellent bowling of Jasprit Bumrah. India scored a huge score of 253 runs in 20 overs, but England batsman Jacob Bethel also created problems for India by scoring 94 runs in 42 balls.
The result was uncertain till the last over, but Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling put England under pressure. Bumrah gave only 6 runs in the 18th over, which proved to be an important moment for England. After this, Hardik Pandya bowled brilliantly and got India a ticket to the final.
Sanju Samson praised Bumrah’s bowling, saying, “Bumrah is a world class bowler, and there is only one such bowler in a generation. He proved again how great he is.” Captain Suryakumar Yadav also said that Bumrah proved to be the real difference between India and England in this match.
However, some weaknesses also emerged for India, especially the fielding and bowling of Varun Chakravarthy. Team India needs to pay attention to these issues before the final. Varun Chakravarthy conceded 64 runs in 4 overs and the England batsmen impressed him a lot.
Now India’s eyes are on the final match against New Zealand on March 8, where they will need to further improve their fielding and bowling.
