T20 World Cup 2026: The second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2026 was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where India defeated England by just 7 runs to reach the final. This match was high-scoring and full of thrill, but an incident happened on the field which created a lot of uproar on social media and disappointed many cricket fans.

In the match, India batted first and scored 253 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. In response, England put up a strong fight. Young batsman Jacob Bethel played a brilliant century of 105 runs, but the team's innings could reach only 246 runs.

Shameful actions of RCB fans

But a shocking incident came to light during the match. When Bethel was batting and hitting big shots on the balls of the Indian bowlers, some fans in the stands started chanting 'RCB-RCB'. The reason was that Jacob Bethel is a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in IPL 2026.

Some RCB fans started celebrating the defeat of the bowlers of the Indian team in the international match to support their franchise player.

This act quickly went viral on social media and fans called it shameful. Many users wrote that it is wrong to show franchise loyalty when the country's team is playing in an international match. Some said that cheering against Indian bowlers is injustice to Team India. At the same time, some people called it the passion of the fans, but most criticized it because in big matches the country comes first and not the IPL.

Indian bowlers won the match

Even though the Indian bowlers were expensive in the middle overs of the match, the bowlers made a wonderful comeback in the last 5 overs. England had to score 69 runs in the last 5 overs to win. But Jasprit Bumrah bowled 2 amazing overs and turned the match towards India. Hardik Pandya also bowled fatally in the 19th over. Whereas, Shivam Dubey bowled the last over and defended the runs. Due to which the Indian team made it to the final of the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time.
