The Board of Control for Cricket in India has made a big announcement between T20 World Cup 2026. After IPL 2026, the Indian team is going to play a Test and 3-match ODI series at home. These matches will be played in June and BCCI has also announced the schedule. In this tour, a team is coming to India, against which Team India has not played a single ODI series yet. In such a situation, this series is going to be very exciting for the fans.

India will play ODI series with this team for the first time

BCCI has released the schedule of Afghanistan's India tour 2026. This tour will take place in June 2026, in which one Test match as well as three ODI International matches will be played between India and Afghanistan. The tour will start with the Test match, which will be played in New Chandigarh from June 6 to 10. This will be the second test match between these two countries, before this a test match was played between these two teams in the year 2018, which was also the first test match of the Afghanistan team.

Then the ODI series will start from June 14. This will be the first ODI series between these two teams, before this both these teams had faced each other in ODI format only in ICC events and Asia Cup. These matches will be played in Dharamshala, Lucknow and Chennai. This will be a big opportunity for Afghanistan cricket, because it will get to play against the top team of the world. With this series, Team India will also start preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup.
