He is the sixth cricketer in the world to score 50 plus runs and take 3 wickets in a single match of T20 World Cup. He is the first player to achieve this feat in T20 World Cup 2026.

This happened after 14 years

But Sikandar Raza is only the second player to score 70 or more runs and take 3 wickets in the same T20 World Cup. The last time this was done by Australia's Shane Watson in the 2012 T20 World Cup. Apart from scoring 72 runs against India, he also took 3 wickets for 34 runs. After 14 years, Sikandar Raza has done the same feat.

Sikandar left Suryakumar Yadav far behind

Sikandar Raza was chosen player of the match for his all-round game in the T20 World Cup 2026 match against South Africa.

With this, he has left Suryakumar Yadav far behind in terms of winning the most number of Player of the Match awards in T20 International. Suryakumar Yadav has won 17 POTMs in 110 T20 Internationals. This was Sikandar Raza's 21st POTM in 133 T20Is. The world record in this matter is in the name of Virandeep Singh of USA, who has won 22 POTMs in 111 matches.
