IND vs ZIM: In the Super-8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 being played between India and Zimbabwe today, the Indian team has set a target of 257 runs for Zimbabwe. India scored 256 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, which is the second highest score in T20 World Cup history.
Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma gave a fast start to the Indian team after coming to bat first after losing the toss. Together they added 48 runs for the first wicket. Sanju Samson scored 26 runs in 15 balls, while Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant inning of 55 runs in 30 balls, which included 4 fours and 4 sixes.
Abhishek Sharma made an important partnership of 72 runs for the second wicket with Ishan Kishan (38 runs in 24 balls). After this, captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 33 runs in 13 balls, which included 3 fours and 2 sixes. After Surya’s dismissal, Hardik Pandya and Tilak Verma played brilliantly and took India to a huge score. Both made an unbeaten partnership of 84 runs for the fifth wicket.
Hardik Pandya scored unbeaten 50 runs in 23 balls with the help of 2 fours and 4 sixes, while Tilak Verma scored unbeaten 44 runs in 14 balls, which included 3 fours and 4 sixes.
Zimbabwe bowlers Tinotenda Maposa, Blessing Muzarabani, Richard Ngarwa and captain Sikandar Raza took one wicket each.
