Kasganj. A soul-shattering news has come out from Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, which has shocked the entire state. Bodies of five members of the same family have been recovered from inside a closed house located on Etah Road in Amanpur Kotwali area. The deceased include parents and their three innocent children. This mass death mystery has brought back horrifying memories of Delhi’s famous ‘Burari incident’.

House was closed for three days, horrifying secret revealed due to foul smell

According to the information, 50-year-old Shyamveer Singh alias Satyaveer, resident of Etah Road, used to support his family by doing welding work. No movement was seen in his house for the last three days. When a strong foul smell started coming from the house late Saturday evening, the neighbors informed the police. When the police reached the spot and broke the door, even the officers were shocked to see the scene inside. The dead bodies scattered inside the room and the prevailing silence were testifying to some major tragedy.

The chief was found hanging, innocent people were lying on the bed

When the police entered the house, Satyaveer’s body was found hanging. At the same time, his wife Sheela (48), two daughters Akanksha (10) and Prachi (12) and son Greece (8) were lying dead on the bed. The house was locked from inside for the last three days, due to which it is being suspected that this incident had been committed long ago. As soon as the information about the incident was received, top officials of the district, SP and DM reached the spot and in view of the seriousness of the matter, they have intensified the investigation.

Murder or mass suicide? tangled mystery of death

In the preliminary investigation, the police suspect that Satyaveer first gave some poisonous substance in the food to his wife and three children or strangled them to death while they were sleeping, and then committed suicide by hanging himself. However, there has been no official confirmation of any suicide note being recovered from the spot yet. Police officials say that only after the post mortem report comes, it will be clear whether the death was due to poison or strangulation.

FSL team collected evidence, waiting for post mortem report

Forensic (FSL) team was called to the spot and scientific evidence was collected. Police are investigating the case from both murder and suicide angles. Whether the family was going through any financial crisis or there was some internal dispute, the police are interrogating relatives and neighbors on all these points. After this heart-wrenching incident, there is mourning in the entire Amanpur town and everyone wants to know the real reason behind this mass death.
