Zimbabwe and the West Indies will lock horns in Match 44 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Super Eights at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, February 23.
Zimbabwe has been one of the surprise packages of the tournament. They began their campaign with a comfortable eight-wicket win over Oman and followed it up with a 23-run victory against Australia. A rain-abandoned clash against Ireland did little to disrupt their momentum, as they returned to defeat Sri Lanka by six wickets while chasing 178. Unbeaten in the group stage, Zimbabwe’s strength has been their bowling and top order. Brian Bennett has anchored the innings superbly, while Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl have contributed in the middle overs. Their pace attack, led by Blessing Muzarabani, has consistently delivered breakthroughs.
On the other hand, the West Indies has looked equally dominant. They brushed aside Scotland, England, Nepal, and Italy to top their group with four clinical wins. Their batting has been aggressive, with Shai Hope providing stability and the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell adding firepower. Having already played in Mumbai earlier in the tournament, the Caribbean team will feel confident about adapting quickly to conditions once again.
