After losing the toss, Gujarat Titans came out to bat first and Sai Sudarshan along with Shubman Gill got off to a strong start. Gill hit hard from the start on his favorite ground. Gill made his intentions clear by hitting a four and a six against Mitchell Santner in the very first over.

After this, Shubman completed his half-century in just 25 balls with a shower of fours and sixes. After scoring a fifty, Gill showed his impressive form and scored his fourth fifty in IPL history in a total of 50 balls. Gill hit 9 fours and 6 sixes while completing his century.

Sai Sudarshan also scored a century

Shubman Gill also got good support from Sai Sudarshan from the other end. Sudarshan also created a stir from the start and gave the Chennai bowlers a run for their money. Sudarshan completed his half-century by hitting sixes in just 31 balls. Surdarshan completed his century in 50 balls with a brilliant batting performance.
