Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Honorable MLA of Kumharar Legislative Assembly was the chief guest in the prize distribution.
Patna: On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the annual sports competition being held in the Commerce College, prizes were distributed today under the chairmanship of the Principal of the college, Prof. Suheli Mehta. Shri Sanjay Kumar Gupta, Honorable MLA of Kumharar Legislative Assembly was the chief guest in the prize distribution. Principal of Patna College, Dr. Anil Kumar, Secretary of the Cultural Board of the University, Prof. Kiran Kumari and Secretary of PU Sports Board, Dr. Deep Narayan had the dignified presence in this ceremony.
In his address, Chief Guest Sanjay Kumar Gupta, while distributing prizes in the Commerce College, being an alumnus of this college, assured all possible help in promoting sports in the college. At the conclusion of the annual sports competition, Principal of Commerce College, Prof. Suheli Mehta addressed the students and encouraged them to increase their participation in sports competitions in future and include it in their daily routine. Principal of Patna College, Prof. Anil Kumar and Secretary of Sports Board congratulated all the winners and runners-up players.
124 students participated in this annual sports competition. Prince Raj was the champion among men’s players while Ananya Anand was the champion among women’s players. The men’s Kabaddi competition was won under the leadership of Captain Amit Raj, while the best player was Rudransh Pratap Singh. Whereas in the women’s Kabaddi competition, the team led by Ananya Kumari won. Kanchan was Vinod’s team runner in women’s Kabaddi. Kanchan Vinod, a player of the winning team in the Kabaddi competition, got the title of best player. In cricket, Harsh Raj’s captain ship was the team winner while Aditya’s team was the runner up. Whereas in cricket, Abdul Samad was the man of the match. In the teachers category, Dr. Shalini stood first, Dr. Niharika stood second and Dr. Pooja stood third in the 100 meter race competition. In the employee men’s category 200 meters race, first was Pintu Kumar, second was Rajan Kumar, third was Rupak Kumar and Narendra Kumar. Whereas in the 100 meter race for female employees, Sita Devi stood first and Shobha Devi stood second.
College Sports Council President Dr. Ajay Kumar Sah and members Dr. Niharika Kumari, Dr. Pooja Sahni and other teachers and staff were present in the prize distribution ceremony.
