New Delhi. The country’s capital is hosting ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’, one of the biggest global events on Artificial Intelligence, from Monday. The five-day event, running from February 16 to 20, is being held at the Bharat Mandapam, where over 300 companies from across the world will be showcasing their cutting-edge AI solutions and futuristic gadgets. PM Modi has called it a moment of grief for India.
During the AI Summit i.e. ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’, the general public will be able to see firsthand how AI technology works in real life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the expo today at 5 pm. Earlier, while making a post on social media platform X, he called it a proud moment for India. He said that the coming of experts and companies to India from all over the world shows the talent and technical ability of the youth of the country.
Special agenda of five day expo
On the first day, on February 16, there will be roundtable discussions between experts and policy makers. At 5 pm, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the expo, where AI based robotics, smart health devices, agri-drones and edtech platforms will be showcased.
On the second day i.e. 17th February, the focus will be on areas to common citizens. The government will release six special research books to farming, health, education, energy, gender empowerment and assistance to persons with disabilities. These researches will explain how revolutionary changes are possible in increasing crop production, early detection of diseases, personalized education and clean energy management with the help of AI.
On the third day on 18 February, global scientists, researchers and think tanks will present their cutting-edge research. Tech companies will show a glimpse of future machines and smart systems through live demos.
On the fourth day, 19 February, Prime Minister Modi will give an official address. More than 100 global luminaries, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, OpenAI head Sam Altman and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, will be meeting with him. During this period, important decisions can be taken on AI investment and strategic partnerships in India.
The last day will be the GPAI Council meeting on 20 February, in which member countries will discuss a common strategy towards making AI safe, trustworthy and responsible.
This summit is not only a platform for technological innovation but also a sign that India is rapidly moving ahead in the race for global AI leadership.
