Australia captain Travis Head has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Zimbabwe in match 19 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
“We will bowl first. We have been in a similar position when it comes to injuries. We are a relaxed group, and the boys are looking forward to the game. We want to keep an eye on the run rate. The wicket looks different, and it is important to adapt to the conditions,” Travis Head said.
Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza is happy to bat first.
“Batting first is not a bad thing. The wicket gets slower when the sun is out. The bounce would be different on today’s wicket. The surface looks slow, and hopefully it will start spinning in the second innings,” he said.
