In a thrilling match played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday, India registered its 10th consecutive win in the T20 World Cup by defeating Namibia by 93 runs. This achievement has not been possible for any other team.
Indian batsmen did wonders. Ishan Kishan played brilliant innings of 61 runs and Hardik Pandya played brilliant innings of 52 runs, due to which the team scored 209 runs losing 9 wickets. Gerhard Erasmus took 4 wickets for Namibia.
In reply, Namibia collapsed for 116 runs in 18.2 overs. Lauren Steenkamp scored 29 runs and John Freelink scored 22 runs. Varun Chakraborty took 3 wickets for just 7 runs. Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dubey and Jasprit Bumrah achieved one success each.
This is India’s biggest victory in the T20 World Cup. South Africa and Australia have 8-8 consecutive wins. This performance of India shows the strength of the team.
