News9 Indian Tigers & Tigresses: The trials of TV9 network's 'News9 Indian Tigers & Tigresses' Season 2 were successfully held in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha and Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The objective of this program is to discover emerging young football talents from across the country and provide them an international platform.

Huge crowd gathered for the trials

The trials in Bhubaneswar were held in collaboration with ODM Global School at the school's stadium. Here 14 teams from different schools of Odisha participated. Young players showed their ability in these trials that lasted for four days (23 to 26 January). The players tried their best to attract the attention of the selectors amid competitive matches. Hundreds of players participated in these trials, considered one of the most prestigious events of Under-17 football in Odisha.

Two-day trials were held in Ranchi on 7 and 8 February 2026 at ODM Sapphire Global School (Ranchi-Khunti Road). More than 200 children arrived here, who came from Ranchi and neighboring districts of Khunti, Lohardaga, Gumla and Hazaribagh. The children, who participated in the football talent hunt on such a big platform for the first time, expressed their gratitude to TV9 network and said, 'Thank you! To give a platform to our talent.

Principal of ODM Sapphire Global School, Mannu Kapoor thanked TV9 network and said that it is great for the children to get such a wonderful platform. He also congratulated all the participants. Players who perform well in the trials will reach the final round. The 30 best young players selected from here will get special training in Germany. He will train under the guidance of top coaches in centers with the best facilities in the world. TV9 Network's partnership with the Bundesliga will give these players an opportunity to make their mark at the international level.
