Indian Premier League side Delhi Capitals has roped in former England batter Ian Bell as its new assistant coach, the franchise announced on Tuesday.
The 43-year-old joins the side that missed out on the Playoffs in the 2025 season by a solitary point, finishing fifth in the final standings.
Bell will work alongside Head Coach Hemang Badani, assistant coach Matthew Mott, and team mentor Kevin Pietersen for the Delhi-based franchise. Venugopal Rao (director of cricket) and Munaf Patel (bowling coach) are the other backroom staff working with the franchise.
Bell is a veteran of 118 Tests and 161 ODIs for England. He also played eight T20 Internationals for his country. The former England U-19 skipper was involved as a coach with the junior England teams before making the move to the IPL.
