Delhi: Even though KL Rahul has not been included in India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, despite this his morale is completely high. These days Rahul is participating in Ranji Trophy, in which he is playing for his home team Karnataka. This right-handed star batsman is looking in tremendous form in the tournament. In the quarter-final match against Mumbai, he played a brilliant century and played an important role in helping the team taste victory.
Actually, Mumbai faced Karnataka in the fourth quarter-final of Ranji Trophy 2025-26. In this match held in Mumbai, the Mumbai team, batting first, got bundled out for 120 runs. In reply, Karnataka scored 173 runs on the basis of Mayank Agarwal’s inning of 92 runs and took a lead of 53 runs.
In the second innings, Mumbai batsmen batted cautiously and scored 377 runs. To win this match, Karnataka got a big target of 325 runs in the fourth innings, which was not easy to chase. Devdutt Padikkal’s team had a very bad start while chasing the target. The first blow to the team came in the form of Mayank Agarwal (3) at the score of 12. After this, Rahul took charge. He scored 130 runs in 182 balls, which included 14 fours and 1 six. Apart from him, Ravichandran Smaran played a useful inning of 83 not out and returned after making the team win.
Thanks to this win against Mumbai, Karnataka has confirmed its place in the semi-finals. Now Karnataka will face Uttarakhand in the semi-finals. This match will start from 15th February. Both teams will try to enter the finals by winning the match.
