Indian Cricket Team Training Session: India's second match in the T20 World Cup 2026 is to be with Namibia. This match is to be played on 12 February at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. But, before that match, the Indian team took a big decision. He has canceled his optional practice session to be held on 9th February i.e. Monday. India played its first match in the tournament against USA, in which its batting condition looked bad. In such a situation, the question is why did Team India cancel its optional practice before the match against Namibia?

Is the practice canceled because of this?

The official reason behind the cancellation of the Indian team's optional practice has not been revealed yet. But, it is believed that the reason behind this decision may be to provide practice grounds to the teams of Namibia and Netherlands. Actually, both these teams have to play against each other in Delhi on 10th February, before which both the teams will have a practice session on 9th February. The Namibian team will practice in the morning while the Netherlands team will conduct its training in the evening.

The match against USA was an eye-opener

For the Indian team, its first match against USA was an eye-opener. That match was proof that no team can be taken lightly in the T20 World Cup 2026. USA had made complete arrangements for India's defeat in the first match. He had dropped his top 4 wickets for just 46 runs in the powerplay itself. After that, half the team had returned to the dugout at 77 runs. In those difficult circumstances, captain Suryakumar Yadav became the trouble-shooter for the team, whose quick-fire unbeaten inning of 84 runs took India to the fighting total and then the bowlers did their job and won the match.
