Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be looking to clinch its second Women’s Premier League title when it faces Delhi Capitals in the summit clash on Thursday at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.

However, the 2024 champion will be without the services of star all-rounder Ellyse Perry, who had withdrawn from the edition ahead of the tournament opener. The 35-year-old cited “personal reasons” as the reason for her absence.

Indian bowling all-rounder Sayali Satghare was called up as her replacement.

Perry, who had featured for RCB in the previous three seasons of WPL, has scored 972 runs and taken 14 wickets in 25 appearances for the side.

She was also the top run-scorer in the second edition of the tournament, which RCB won. She was retained by the franchise along with Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, and Shreyanka Patil ahead of the mega auction.
