Defending champion Team India has started its campaign to win the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, India defeated America (USA) by 29 runs in its first match of the group stage. This victory was not achieved easily but still the team did not suffer any loss and its account was opened. Now the Indian team will soon take the field for the second match. But before that, head coach Gautam Gambhir has arranged a special program, where he himself will host the entire team.

Team India's dinner at Gambhir's house

The match between India and Namibia is to be held here on Thursday 12th February at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In such a situation, the team currently has enough time for preparation and in view of this, the Indian team will reach Gautam Gambhir's house on Sunday, where a dinner has been organized by the Indian coach for the entire team.

According to reports, head coach Gambhir is going to do this to keep the dressing room stress-free in the stressful environment of the World Cup and to keep the players away from thinking about cricket for some time. When Team India reaches Delhi on Sunday, all the players and support staff members will reach Gautam Gambhir's residence located in Old Rajendra Nagar, where everyone will have dinner together.

As a coach, Gautam Gambhir, who is achieving continuous success in the first T20 format, wants to continue this trend in the biggest tournament as well. This is the reason that amidst the pressure of playing in such a big tournament and as the host, Indian coaches are adopting different methods to keep the atmosphere light and comfortable among the players. This is not the first time that Gambhir is going to do this. Last year too, before the Delhi Test match between India and West Indies, Gambhir had invited the entire team for a similar dinner at his home.

USA made Team India sweat

This dinner will also be a good opportunity for Team India to keep themselves away from the worries of the first match. Team India's explosive batting was a flop in the very first match against USA. The Indian batting order, which had broken many records with its explosive batting in the last one and a half years, had fallen apart against the USA. From Abhishek Sharma to Hardik Pandya, 6 wickets of Team India had fallen for only 77 runs. It must be good for captain Suryakumar Yadav, who played a memorable inning of 84 not out and took the team to 161 runs. After this, the bowling attack including Mohammad Siraj restricted USA to 132 runs.
