Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their second WPL title on Thursday, beating Delhi Capitals by six wickets in the WPL 2026 final.
Here’s a list of all the records broken during the WPL 2026 final:
-
RCB chased down 203 to register the highest successful run chase in WPL history, surpassing its own record of 202 against Gujarat Giants last season.
-
Moreover, RCB’s 204-run total was the highest in a WPL final. It beat DC’s 203-run first-innings total.
-
Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll registered the highest partnership for any wicket in WPL history after they added 165 for the second wicket. The RCB duo eclipsed the 162-run stand between DC’s Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning against RCB in March 2023.
-
With this title win, RCB now has joint-most WPL trophies (2), sharing the honour with Mumbai Indians.
-
Smriti also became the third Indian, and fifth player overall, to breach the 1000-run mark in WPL. She joins Nat Sciver-Brunt, Meg Lanning, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Shafali.
-
Smriti’s 87 in this match was also the highest individual score in a WPL final. She goes past 66 (44) by Harmanpreet Kaur (Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals, 2025).
-
Nandini Sharma, who became the leading Indian wicket-taker in a single WPL season during the Eliminator against Gujarat Giants, finished the campaign with 17 scalps. She narrowly missed out on the Purple Cap, with Sophie Devine also taking 17 wickets but edging her out on economy rate.
