The Australian cricket team, which is dreaming of becoming T20 champion again, has suffered the biggest setback. The Australian team has received bad news just a day before the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 starting on Saturday, February 7. The team's senior fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been completely ruled out of the T20 World Cup. The entire experienced pace battery of the Australian team, which is already entering the tournament with the absence of Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins, will not be able to take part in the tournament. Starc had announced his retirement last year itself, while Cummins was out due to injury a few days ago.

Cricket Australia said in a statement on Friday 6 February that Hazlewood will not be fit in time for the tournament, due to which he will not be able to participate in this World Cup.
