RCB at WPL 2026: Meet Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s coaching group and support staff

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) was crowned the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 champion after beating Delhi Capitals in the final, which took place at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara on Thursday.

Here’s as look at the key members, coaching and support staff who worked in the background of RCB’s team:

Malolan Rangarajan – Head coach

Malolan Rangarajan, who was RCB’s former spin-bowling coach, replaced Luke Williams as the head coach of the team for the 2026 season. A former cricketer-turned coach and scout, he used to represent Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand in the domestic circuit, and has played in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL).

Anya Shrubsole – Assistant coach

Anya Shrubsole is a former England cricketer who represented the side from 2008 to 2022.

The pacer was revealed as RCB’s assistant coach late in 2025 ahead of the 2026 mega-auction. She has previously coached in The Hundred’s women’s competition, as a player-coach for the Southern Vipers.

Suntera Paranjpe – Assistant coach

Sunetra Paranjpe is a former cricketer who represented India in three Test matches and 28 One Day Internationals between 2002 and 2007. The all-rounder, who also occasionally took on wicket-keeping duties, had previously coached Baroda Women and Mumbai Cricket Association youth teams, before being appointed RCB’ assisstant coach in 2026.

RX Muralidhar – Batting coach

RX Muralidhar is a familiar name in the coaching scene, having held several high-profile coaching roles across various levels of the sport. His coaching career spans across leagues, having stood at the helm of Assam Cricket Association, IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans in the Tamil Nadu Premier League, and most recently, RCB in the WPL.

Dr. Harini Muralidharan – Team Doctor and Team Manager

Dr. Harini Muralidharan has taken a dual role in the RCB unit for the last few years, serving as team doctor and manager. Harini, who holds a master’s degree in sports medicine, was also the team doctor for the Indian women’s cricket team in the recently concluded Women’s ODI World Cup 2025.
