Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants : In the 57th match of IPL 2024 (May 8), Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 10 wickets. Lucknow posted a respectable score of 165 when they played first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In reply, Hyderabad batsmen did not take even 10 overs to reach this target.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma put on a partnership of 167 runs in 9.4 overs. Travis Head played a brilliant knock of 89 off 30 balls, in which he hit 8 fours and 8 sixes.

On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma scored 75 runs in just 28 balls. He hit 8 fours and 6 sixes in this innings. Both of them started hitting sixes and fours in an explosive manner from the very first over. With Hyderabad winning the match by 62 balls and 10 wickets, Lucknow's net runs have been badly affected.

Meanwhile, Lucknow franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka was visibly furious after the match. He was seen scolding team captain KL Rahul and head coach Justin Langer. The anger on Goenka's face was evident.

Lucknow, Delhi and CSK have 12 points after the Lucknow-Hyderabad match. But in terms of net run rate, Lucknow has fared much worse.

Under the circumstances, the path to the playoffs has become difficult for KL Rahul and his teammates. Now the poor performance against Sunrisers Hyderabad has angered LSG franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka and a video of his anger is going viral on social media.

Lucknow's humiliating defeat left Sanjeev Goenka very disappointed. It was clear on his face that he was not happy with the team's performance.

Meanwhile, cricket fans have trolled Goenka after Sanjeev Goenka publicly scolded KL Rahul.

“KL Rahul is a top class player and this kind of behavior on the field is not appropriate. Sanjeev could have personally gone to any room or dressing room and expressed his displeasure to KL Rahul. But such behavior is not good on the field”, say cricket fans.

Currently Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants have 12 points each. But a poor net run-rate leaves LSG at the sixth position. If Lucknow want to stay in the playoff race, they will have to beat Delhi and Mumbai by huge margins in the next two matches.
