Ranchi: The thrill of cricket is going to return once again on the historic ground of Birsa Railway Sersa Ranchi, after the immense success of last year, the institute has announced the organization of ‘Horizon Premier League (HPL) 2.0’. This time the tournament is going to be more grand and challenging than ever before, in which a total of 8 teams will enter the field to win the title.

This year, the scope of the tournament has been increased to 8. The teams taking part in the competition are as follows:

Horizon Kings
Horizon Warrior

VE Volcanos
It is noteworthy that in the last season (HPL 1.0), Horizon Gladiators performed brilliantly and won the title of champion, while Horizon Hunters was the runner-up.
Knockout format and exciting matches

To make the tournament more exciting, the knockout format has been adopted this time:
Preliminary Stage: Initially 4 knockout matches will be played between 8 teams. All these matches will be of 8-8 overs.
Semi-finals: * The winning team of the first knockout match will face the winning team of the third match.
The winning team of the second knockout match will face the winning team of the fourth match.
Grand Finale: There will be a title clash between the two best teams that win the semi-finals. The semi-final and final matches will be played in T-10 (10-10 overs) format.
