IND vs SA, T20 World Cup Warm Up 2026: In the preparations for the T20 World Cup 2026, India performed tremendously in its only warm-up match. In this match played against South Africa at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai, India won the toss and decided to bat first and hit fours and sixes. Almost every batsman for Team India showed stormy attitude and thrashed the African bowlers. Due to which Team India scored 240 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Ishan Kishan's explosive start

The innings started with power-hitting from Ishan Kishan. Wicketkeeper batsman Ishaan scored 53 runs in just 20 balls, which included 2 fours and 7 sixes. His strike rate was 265.00, which gave a great start to the team. Ishaan added 80 runs for the first wicket with Abhishek Sharma. However, Ishaan retired out after scoring a half-century. At the same time, Abhishek retired hurt after scoring 24 runs on 18 balls.

Tilak-Hardik's storm

After this, Tilak Verma took charge and scored 45 runs in 19 balls. His innings also included 3 fours and as many sixes. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also contributed 30 runs in 16 balls. 2 fours and 2 sixes came from his bat. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya rocked in the last overs. Hardik scored 30 runs in just 10 balls, he also hit 2 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas, Akshar Patel remained unbeaten after scoring 35 runs. He also hit 2 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from these, Rinku Singh scored 16 runs in 13 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six.

Due to this strong performance of the batsmen, the Indian team hit a total of 19 sixes and only 15 fours in this innings. Indian batsmen showed no mercy in front of South African bowlers. Enrique Norkhia had to concede 57 runs in 3 overs. Kagiso Rabada also gave 44 runs in 3 overs. Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosh and Kwena Mafaka took one wicket each, but these bowlers also could not do much.
