The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026's D-Day is here, and to grace the special occasion, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB W) take on the Delhi Capitals Women (DC W) in the Final on Thursday, January 5, at the BCA Stadium, Vadodara.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women are all set to play their second-ever final of WPL history, having last faced the same opponent in 2024, where the Smriti Mandhana-led side emerged as the champions. Their WPL 2024 title was also the first-ever trophy for the Bengaluru-based franchise, and they would certainly want to add another one to their cabinet on Thursday.
Delhi Capitals Women, on the other hand, had a change in captaincy ahead of the season, but one thing that did not change was their ritual of playing the final. They are now the team with the most finale appearances without ever touching the silverware. The Jemimah Rodrigues-led unit will not want to waste the golden opportunity here.

Chasing has been the preferred choice for teams winning the toss at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara in the ongoing WPL season.
Out of the four previous encounters at the venue, a solid three went in the favour of teams batting second. The pitch does show the tendency to get better for batting, but spinners are likely to have a say throughout the match. RCB W vs DC W: Head-to-Head T20 Record

WPL 2026 Final: Probable Best Performers Probable Best Batter: Lizelle LeeDespite 283 runs in nine innings, Lizelle Lee has gone unnoticed, and her valiant efforts with the bat have silently paved the way for Delhi's entry into the final. Playing proper cricketing strokes, boasting a solid technique, batting with an aggressive mindset, and showcasing a risk-free game are the salient features of how Lizelle has batted through the season. A similar performance is expected from her on the big night.
Probable Best Bowler: Lauren BellWith a beautiful bowling action and an equally praiseworthy ability to strike breakthroughs, Lauren Bell has been the find of the season for the Royal Challengers. In eight matches, she has picked up 12 wickets already, which has largely been the reason behind the majority of the matches won by her side this season. More importantly, her economy rate is at an unbelievable 5.62 in the season, making her the key to RCB's chances in the match tonight.
