Rishabh Pant is all set to make a comeback. The National Cricket Academy (NCA) is expected to declare him fully fit for comeback by 5 March.

Ganguly, the Director of Cricket at Delhi Capitals, shared the latest update on Pant in an interview with the Times of India. In this conversation he said that Pant had completed all the necessary steps to regain fitness and then the NCA should approve his return.

"Let Rishabh get cleared on March 5, only then we'll talk about captaincy backups. We are taking a cautious approach with him because he has a very long career ahead of him.

We don't want to push him in excitement. We will see how Rishabh reacts. He will be joining the camp once NCA gives him the clearance. We will see match by match. We can't predict," Ganguly said in the interview.

Pant will be making his much-awaited comeback after being out of action for more than a year since his major car accident, which necessitated multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation.

As per Ganguly, Delhi have enough wicketkeeping alternatives in Kumar Kushagra, Ricky Bhui as well as Shai Hope and Tristan Stubbs.
