Afghanistan captain Mahboob Khan has won the toss and elected to bat first against India in the second semi-final of the U19 Men’s World Cup 2026.
“We will bat first as the pitch looks ideal for batting. Faisal Khan has been in excellent form and has contributed significantly to the team. We’ve prepared thoroughly for this match, and our goal is to reach the final. The wicket is favorable for batting, but it should also offer some assistance to the bowlers,” Mahboob Khan said.
“I’m really happy with the toss. The wicket looks great, and the boys are performing well. The attitude they’re showing on the field is fantastic. We just need to stick to the basics and play to our potential today. We’re sticking with the same team,” India skipper Ayush Mhatre said.
