India A defeated the USA by 38 runs in the warm-up match ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 on February 2. The host team scored 238/3 and dismissed the rivals for 200 in 19.4 overs, with Ravi Bishnoi taking three wickets. Khaleel Ahmed and Naman Dhir dismissed two batters each. Ashok Sharma, Ayush Badoni and Tilak Varma added one scalp each to their bowling figures.
Andries Gous scored 44 runs off 31 balls, laced with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes, while Sanjay Krishnamurthi posted 41 runs of 18 deliveries, including 4 maximums and 2 boundaries.
Shubham Ranjane (28 off 17), Harmeet Singh (25 off 9) and Mohammad Mohsin (21 off 10) were impressive but the minnows couldn’t cross the finishing line.
Earlier, Narayan Jagadeesan hit a hundred, accumulating 104 runs off 55 balls, laced with 11 fours and 5 sixes to take the score to 238/3.
Ayush Badoni (60* off 36), Tilak (38 off 24) and Priyansh Arya (28 off 13) were among the runs. Ali Khan, Jasdeep Singh and Shubham Ranjane picked up one wicket each.
Afghanistan registered a 61-run win over Scotland. Batting first, the sub-continent nation managed 184 for 6 and dismissed the European country for 123 in 19.3 overs.
Darwish Rasooli was the star in the batting department, contributing 84 runs off 46 balls, including 7 fours and 5 sixes. Ibrahim Zadran (36 off 32) and Mohammad Nabi (34 off 16) showed their class.
Jack Jarvis and Mark Watt claimed two wickets each.
Scotland suffered a batting collapse, and barring a few starts, they couldn’t pose a challenge. Michael Jones (21) and Matthew Cross (21) were the top scorers.
Azmatullah Omarzai (3 wickets), Ziaur Rahman (2 wickets) and Nabi (2 wickets) didn’t allow the opposite numbers to score freely.
