Delhi: In the important match played in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, Delhi Capitals has qualified for the eliminator by defeating UP Warriors by 5 wickets. After this victory, Delhi team will now face Gujarat Giants in the eliminator.
UP Warriors, who came to bat first after the toss, had a very disappointing start. The team’s top order completely disappointed and the first three batsmen were out on the score of just 38 runs. After this, there was hope of recovery from the middle order, but no big partnership was seen from there also. Despite playing the stipulated 20 overs, the UP team could score only 122 runs on the board. Deepti Sharma scored the maximum 24 runs for UP. Marijne Kapp was the most effective in Delhi’s bowling, taking 3 wickets.
Delhi Capitals, chasing the target of 123 runs, had to suffer losses in the beginning itself. The team’s wicketkeeper batsman Lizelle Lee returned to the pavilion with a total score of 11 runs. In the last moments, captain Jemimah Rodriguez took the responsibility and led the team to victory. Jemima played an unbeaten inning of 34 runs in just 18 balls. Delhi Capitals achieved this target in 18.4 overs and secured the ticket to the eliminator.

Now RCB will enter the title match on February 5, where it will face the team that wins the eliminator.
